Kany Garcia Miami Concert reviews
Quite the Vegas Performance
"I couldn't remember who 'Cheap Trick' was, the opening act, and kept trying to remember. After their first song, I remembered why I didn't remember who they were...they were a loud, noisy band, not the music I enjoy. Why would Rod Stewart choose them to open for him? I had to leave my seat and go as far as I could without leaving the venue so I could not hear them as well.
Rod Stewart, on the other hand, was very good. I go to a LOT of concerts to hear/see bands from the 60's and 70's and was not prepared for his lavish Vegas act (not something other bands do). His music and songs were just as wonderful as I remembered, and he played for quite some time.
What was even more impressive was the 6 women he had on stage that were so incredibly talented. If not for them, I am not sure the concert would have been as good. An almost 80-year-old man in spandex was quite interesting to look at but still able to hit those high notes."
